On estime que d\u2019ici 2050 les besoins en chauffage de la moiti\u00e9 de l\u2019Europe pourront \u00eatre couverts par les r\u00e9seaux de chaleur qui est le moyen le plus facile et le plus rentable de produire et distribuer de l\u2019\u00e9nergie propre.<\/p><p>Le solaire thermique convient parfaitement pour les r\u00e9seaux de chaleur et notamment pour les r\u00e9seaux de chaleur \u00e0 basse temp\u00e9rature (&lt;100 \u00b0C). En plus, le solaire thermique peut \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 toutes les sources de chaleur actuellement utilis\u00e9es par la centrale de chauffage urbain. Plusieurs recherches d\u00e9montrent que, apr\u00e8s le stockage en r\u00e9servoir des combustibles fossiles (le p\u00e9trole et le gaz), la m\u00e9thode la plus avantageuse pour stocker de l\u2019\u00e9nergie thermique est le stockage dans un grand r\u00e9servoir d\u2019eau.
